As part of our ongoing projects our office Teamwerk Architekten largely focuses on the exploration and analysis of communal and socially activated multiuse spaces and their potential. We are convinced that, as architects, we can make our contribution to create valuable and sustainable spaces and uses that go beyond the merely efficient spatial programs.

”The individualization of lifestyles results in a need for flexibility of our surroundings, of apartments, of neighborhoods and cities. We must stop the modernist´mantra, which aims on equalization of individuals, their designation and their everyday life. When and with whom will solely remain important. Space will be independent from use. Singular user typologies will become inefficient. The loss of strictly assigned singular functions associated to a locus entitles it to qualify for usage-independent idiosyncrasies. The division of space according to our previous principles of order and organization dissolves and becomes irrelevant.”
